Two New Drawing Classes Offered in April!

Drawing Basics

This 8-week course is designed for anyone who wants to improve their drawing skills, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist looking to refine your techniques. The course will focus on three main areas of drawing: still life, portrait, and figure drawing.

During the first two weeks, we will focus on still-life drawing. You’ll learn about composition, lighting, and how to create depth and dimension in your drawings. In portrait drawing, you’ll learn about proportions, facial features, and how to capture the character of the sitter. We’ll work from live models. In figure drawing, you’ll learn about gesture, anatomy, and how to capture movement and emotion in your drawings. We’ll work with live models and explore a variety of poses and techniques for capturing the human form. By the end of the course, you’ll have developed a strong foundation in drawing and be able to apply these skills to a variety of subjects and styles. Whether you’re interested in pursuing drawing as a hobby or a career, this course will provide the tools and techniques you need to succeed.
